YATO YT-99700 Electric Fan Heater – Compact 2 kW Heating with PTC Technology

The YATO YT-99700 is a compact 2000 W electric fan heater equipped with a PTC ceramic heating element, designed for supplementary heating of small rooms and work areas. According to the manufacturer, the heater is suitable for spaces of up to 20 m². It can be used in dry workshops, garages, utility rooms, and other suitable indoor environments.

The heater offers three operating modes: a 25 W fan-only setting, 1000 W partial heating, and 2000 W maximum heating. Its 180 m³/h airflow helps distribute warm air, while the PTC ceramic heating element provides self-regulating temperature characteristics. Integrated overheating protection, an automatic-reset thermostat, and a lightweight 1.5 kg construction add convenience for everyday use.

Advantages & Additional Information

  • 2000 W maximum heating power – designed for supplementary heating of small rooms and work areas.

  • PTC ceramic heating element – electrical resistance increases as the element temperature rises, naturally limiting heat output.

  • Three operating modes – choose between fan-only operation and two heating power levels.

  • 180 m³/h airflow capacity – helps distribute warm air throughout the heated space.

  • Overheating protection – integrated protective thermostat with a specified activation temperature of 68 °C.

  • Compact construction – dimensions of 210 × 160 × 217 mm and a weight of 1.5 kg make the heater easy to move.

  • Electric operation without fuel – no gas cylinders or liquid fuel required, and no fuel combustion products are generated during heating.

PTC Ceramic Heating Technology

The heater uses PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) technology. The electrical resistance of this type of ceramic heating element increases as its temperature rises. This characteristic naturally limits the heating element's thermal output.

PTC technology operates alongside the heater's integrated overheating protection but does not replace safe operating practices. The heater must not be covered, placed too close to combustible materials, or operated with blocked air inlets or outlets.

Applications & Usage

The YATO YT-99700 can be used in dry workshops, garages, utility rooms, small warehouses, and work areas. It is also suitable as a supplementary heat source during repair or installation work, provided that environmental conditions comply with the manufacturer's operating instructions.

The fan-only mode allows the unit to circulate air without active heating, while the two heating power levels make it possible to select an operating mode according to heating requirements.

Important: the IPX0 protection rating means the heater has no declared protection against water ingress. It must be used in dry environments and protected from rain, water splashes, and moisture. Do not cover the heater or block its air inlets and outlets. Always follow the manufacturer's specified safety clearances and operating instructions.
